Phat Deuce- Bubble Di Sistem (JEFF018)

One of the reasons the we started the Jeffree’s was to shed light on little or unknown producers and this is a prime example. At the time of writing this Stockholm’s Phat Deuce has 46 followers on Soundcloud which is seems really odd listening the quality of all his tracks. Diplo’s has been championing “Bubble Di Sistem” as a secret tune in his sets for a few months, so we had to put it out. It’s exactly what you would expect from a hype diplo set, someone shouting in the background, weird bubble sounds, and sweaty tribal rhythms. Backed with another banger “Gangsta” comes packed with high pitched squeeling synths of the good kind compllimented by a harsh cut off vocal chop that’ll fit perfectly in any high energy set.  We love Phat Deuce, he sends us about 2-3 new tracks weird ass tracks a week and after seeing his artwork he replied that “it is the sexiest thing i have ever seen” so we welcome him with open arms to our family.

Baauer- Harlem Shake (JEFF016)

The love child of Brooklyn and the Internet, Baauer was born out of noise. A sound that began steeped in the 4/4 dance tradition, slowly took on hip hop tendencies until the two became one. Influenced heavily by southern hip-hop and UK bass sounds, Baauer has found himself smack dab in the middle of the electronic renaissance. He is the delectable fusion of future-crunk and leather shaken aggressively in a bottle for years and has only just opened the top to pour the mixture out.

Harlem Shake his been featured on almost every Diplo and Friends mix to date including Diplo, Brodinski, and Flosstradamus as well as being featured in Rustie’s Lastest Essential mix!

Paper Diamond- Wavesight EP (JEFF017)

This week we’ve got an exciting new Jeffree’s release from Colorado’s own Paper Diamond! Featuring 3 huge bass heavy tunes that tastefully take dubstep into the pop realm. Both Turn The Lights Off and Can We Go Up feature female pop hooks over high flying synths and heavy bass while Airlift holds its own as a dub/trap inspired instrumental.

Since Paper Diamonds inception in January of 2011, he has found himself on a globetrotting, music making escapade, with non-stop shows, festival plays, and around the clock studio sessions.

With one EP and a handful of notable remixes under his belt, PD has been secretly amassing over 100 original songs/beats/instrumentals and is currently working with artists, singers, rappers, and MCs all over the country.

Wiwek is a upcoming dj/producer from Holland, formerly known as Oui’Wack. He first caught our attention after his amazing Jungle Wars EP having been featured on radio mixes from Tiesto, Fedde Le Grand, Brodinski, Laidback Luke, and Diplo.

Wiwek’s signature tropical house production style get ramped up to 1000 on Totem featuring two suspenseful builds that will have dance floors going nuts. Diplo- Express Yourself (JEFF009)

“Express Yourself” is Diplo’s first time out in the well established universe of New Orleans Bounce Music. This explosive collaboration with new generation Bounce rapper Nicky Da B, protege of Big Freedia and Katey Red, reaches across the gap between the Hip Hop origins of Bounce and the club hits he’s consistently delivered in the past. Nicky Da B’s musically percussive style, featuring lyricism reminiscent of the Caribbean origins of New Orleans music, finesses the beat, creating maddening textures that bring Diplo’s production to a boil. Express Yourself takes club music back below the waist, where it works best, and brings a bit of the Dirty Dirty to the polished world of electronic dance music.

Joelito - Sickhead (JEFF008)

Malmo based producer Joelito produces a wide variety of music but still manages to put his own stamp on everything he touches. There is no better example of this than with his song “Sickhead”. It’s roots are in the Mexican 3ball sound but the use of the horns on this track, flips it on it’s head.   The remixes from Flore, Boyfriend and Copia Doble Systema continue where he left off by flipping the track to whole new territories. Look out for Joelito’s new EP “Crudo” coming out on March 3rd on Big ‘N Hairy Records outta Vienna.

Valentino Khan & Will Bailey - Rukus (JEFF007)

Los Angeles music producer and DJ, Valentino Khan first caught our attention when he remixed the entire Watch the Throne album under the moniker, Marketprice. It was packed back to back with huge remixes ranging from dubstep to moombahton, but since then he’s been know just as Valentino Khan. On “Rukus” we find him teaming up with the U.K’s very own Will Bailey to smash out a bouncy moombahton rager that’s been rinsed by every major dj playing the genre. The future looks bright for Valentino, from producing a track off of T.I.’s latest mixtape to doing guest mixes for BBC Asia, he’s got a big sound that’s filling clubs and laptops all over the world!

Fresh from self releasing his lo-fi mixtape “CHAMPAGNE”, ZEBRA KATZ serves you his debut release, Ima Read feat. Njena Reddd Foxxx on Mad Decent’s Jeffree’s Imprint. Pulling from a multimedia /performance art background, Zebra Katz brings a slo-mo dark delivery to his rhymes set over a the minimal unencumbered beat on “Ima Read”.But what does “Ima Read” even mean? Simply put, “reading” is an old voguing term describing someone verbally insulting an opponent about something not so apparent to the average viewer. A good reader could tear you apart with one simply sentence. We were very luck to have such a varied selection remixes from the likes of J-Wow of Buraka Som Sistema, MIkeQ and B.Ames, Slick Shoota and Dj Sliink.
