Juyen Seulba & Rob Pix - Body Rock (JEFF073)

Since the release of his debut single “SuperJam” on Jeffree’s last year, Juyen Sebulba has gained impressive momentum. Etching his wild big room sound into each track, Juyen has been on the up and up receiving recognition from the likes of dance music moguls such as Laidback Luke, who has since signed him to his record label, Mixmash. With his latest track he’s teamed up with Australian producer and Electro/Dutch House wiz kid Rob Pix to deliver a massive tune just in time to take over your soul. “Body Rock” is a result of the floating head from the epic Sean Connery film “Zardoz” spending a weekend at Ultrafest and deciding to lay down a track. Designed to seek out the deepest corners of your inner ear hole and destroy any speaker system via guns and candy bracelets exploding out of his mouth!

Caked Up & Meaux Green - Thirsty (JEFF074)

image

Caked Up, the DJ/producer duo comprised of Las Vegas natives Oscar Wylde and Vegas Banger, are no strangers to internet, musical and social media success. Over the past year, they’re raked in some of the highest streaming numbers in electronic music, the minute and a half long preview of “Thirsty” having over 1.8 million views of its own. Choosing well, the duo collaborated with Meaux Green, the rising trap/twerk lord who’s received support from the like of Doctor P, DJ Snake, Dillon Francis, Diplo, TWRK, Mayhem and Henry Fong to note but a few.

As much as you’d want to call it a guilty pleasure, guilt isn’t exactly the emotion that surfaces once you’re submerged beneath this outrageously fun collab! “Thirsty” highlights each artists’ well known ability to create enormously infectious beats that somehow plant themselves in your speakers, your awareness of their brilliance growing with each listen. The melody is soaked with droplet samples and a underscored by drum rolls and claps that bring a classic twerk feel to the track.

ALIZZZ - Sunshine EP (JEFF071)

image

Barcelona-based producer/DJ ALIZZZ is an absolute wizard when it comes to crossing over RnB, indie-pop and jersey club. Having released four EPs over the past two years with an impressive repertoire of remixes and edits along the way, ALIZZZ has been under the watchful eye of the modern music generation for some time now. Supported by likes of Ryan Hemsworth, Baauer, Canblaster, Diplo, Taku, Trippy Turtle and more, his new Sunshine EP epitomizes his unmistakable style and playful production technique.

All 4 tracks submerge you into an ocean of melodic RnB vibes, glittery synths and golden rays of jersey club as far as the eye can see. “Sunshine” is what the theme song of Rainbow Road in Mario Cart should have been, endlessly cheerful with a tinge of 80s soul to flavor the audio. ALIZZZ then brings in Santell on “I C U” to give us soulful track sugar coated with an irresistible R&B feel. Following suit, “That Gurl” lays down a futuristic beat underscored by a subtly sexy element of funk. Sunshine is then wrapped up ALIZZZ’s ode to lust at first site “What IF,” rounding out the EP with a harmonic, softer jersey club ballad. It’s ok, the obsession is mutual.

Blaqstarr - The Blaq-Files EP (JEFF066)

image

Buy on iTunes: http://smarturl.it/BlaqFiles
Buy on Beatport: http://bit.ly/BlaqFilesBP

We’ve dusted off 4 of the heaviest unreleased tracks from the Supastarr era here and brought them into the light with brand new mixing and mastering. You might have come across these over the years but these new versions are super crisp and loud, doing justice to four classic tracks that were previously only available as low quality mp3s. Lose your mind all over again with “Hands Up Thumbs Down”, “Lemme Hump U”, “Feel It In The Air” and “Slide To The Left.”

Notes from Diplo:

Blaqstarr was the first US artist I released on Mad Decent. He might have been one of the reasons I started the label. Bmore club was this faceless, crazy, frenetic and scary dance music, not unlike the city itself. I thought Blaqstarr was the real star of this world. Almost a decade ago, many times I traveled down to Baltimore and sat in Blaqstarr and his brother’s house, guns peeking out under the mattresses, blunt wrappers everywhere, computer guts laid out on what might have been a shelf turned into a desk, loose weights and blank cds all over the carpet. Blaqstarr would make his music with no chorus or verses, just chants, curses, girls screaming “Blaqstarr” and other random ideas thrown on the track – sounding the same way his brother’s house looked. There’s no rhyme or reason, it’s like the ghetto spontaneously combusted into music. If Bmore was a full fledged music scene, then Blaqstarr was Hunter S Thompson. While most producers were making records for the radio, Blaqstarr was making a soundtrack to murder people with by using a screaming Lil Jon sample played like a piano. Oh and did I mention he could sing and in a crazy falsetto like Al Green. These are some of the records that got lost from that era before Hype Machine. We want to document what the real Bmore sound was about.

LIZ - All Them Boys (JEFF068)

LIZ returns with her third Jeffree’s release, unquestionably solidifying herself as Mad Decent’s #1 pop princess. “All Them Boys” is a taste of what LIZ has been up to as of late, gearing everyone up for the exciting material she has coming your way in 2014. Mr. Carmack and Colta collaborated to lay down a flawless UK Garage / R&B instrumental, complimented by LIZs distinctly sweet, sexy vocals that we’ve been crooning over all year. LIZ is on a diamond studded road to stardom, blinding everyone along the way with one shining release after another as she puts the finishing touches on her debut EP dropping early next year.

Download DJ Snake’s “Bird Machine (feat. Alesia) [Jingle Bells Version]” free on Soundcloud HERE.

Crunch, Crunch…Crunch, Crunch…. What’s that on the roof? Is it a burglar or a vagrant? A vacuum salesman or a Sasquatch? Damn look, it’s Santa on his sleigh with Kraang and the faded Jeffree’s mascot tossing out Christmas dub plates for the entire land. I think it’s safe to say that here at Mad Decent we caught the christmas spirit hard this year.  We  went all out and had our biggest tunes remixed by the artists themselves xmas-style for your pleasure.  Laid out here are some serious  xmas re-imaginings from Diplo, DJ Snake, Gent & Jawns, Juyen Sebulba, Astronomar and Kennedy Jones.  Also on the original side of thing, Vjuan Allure gives us a vogued out reindeer stomper with “RUDE OFF 2013” and Mitch Murder unleashes a fireside roasted chestnut R&B ballad with help from Santell.

Slick Shoota - F Dat feat. Purple (JEFF062)

Your average Chicago juke song consists of one, maybe two lines of lyrics repeated over and over and chopped to oblivion. We love it all but it took the king of nordic juke, Slick Shoota, to take things to the next level with with “F Dat.” As the follow release to his Jeffree’s debut, Slick brought in Purple to float over this smooth holodeck-sounding juke beat. The story of a lover confused with her crush? We’ve all been there, F Dat!!!! The tune has been killing it all over the juke dance floors and so it’s time to take it even further. To add to the release in perfect fashion, Djemba Djemba and Hoodboi have teamed up to bring the world some next level Miami bass house on the remix. Straight madness is the result with a track that sounds like something that got left off the Space Jam Soundtrack. We’re are really excited to see where Slick Shoota is headed and with his take on juke, his range seems endless.

DJ/Producer Victor Niglio is one of the most promising young dance producers coming out of Mad Decent’s homeland of Philadelphia, PA. Victor’s remixes of tunes like TJR’s “Ode To Oi” and his multiple collabs with heavy hitters such as Carnage and Martin Garrix have turned the EDM world onto his clean production style.

From the get go, his Jeffree’s debut “Jiggy feat. Mr. Man”  tosses you into a sea of flawless drum rolls and kicks that are guaranteed to make everyone on the dance floor shake till sunrise.  Mr. Man’s vocals take the instrumental to an even higher level that will have even your Aunt Gertrude getting jiggy up against the wall. Get jiggy y’all.

Yellow Claw - Amsterdam Twerk Music (JEFF065)

The follow up EP to Yellow Claw’s epic Jeffree’s debut, Amsterdam Twerk Music cleans up your definition of “dirty” just so they can strip it down to booty claps and bass rolls. The first track, “DJ Turn It Up” is a subtle dance floor anthem reminiscent of the heavy bass from your nostalgic middle school days of grinding to timeless hip-hop anthems.

On the second track, Yellow Claw teams up with Tropkillaz and The Kemist to bring us “Assets,” a track that twists its vocals in a way that winds through the most bass-hungry, whimsical quarter of your imagination. “P*$$YRICH feat. Adje” then transports you deeper into Yellow Claw’s bass dungeon, leaving its victims up against the walls bumping and grinding till sunrise.

Amsterdam Twerk Music concludes with “Slow Down”, an addictive baseline paired with a jock-jams reminiscent hook. Yellow Claw are the tastemakers of guilty pleasure. But lets be honest… there’s no guilt attached to the obsession.

Leftside - Monkey Biznizz (JEFF064)

image

Jamaican vocal chameleon Leftside hits us with his latest single, “Monkey Biznizz.” A clean boom-bip hip-hop track with a monkey laughing sample reminiscent of our favorite stop motion penguin, Pingu. Leftside keeps the track going by bragging and boasting about how he and his crew are living. Whether he’s rapping as one of his many characters or as himself, Left always keeps us entertained.

Grandtheft - Mobbin feat. Hedspin / Give Me More (JEFF060)

Grandtheft just posted a minimix preview on Soundcloud for his single Mobbin feat Hedspin / Give Me More dropping this Thursday on Jeffree’s! Respected as one of the best live Canadian DJs in the game, Grandtheft has taken a break from globetrotting to pack in a HUGE release for Jeffree’s. Along with World Red Bull Thre3style champ and close pal Hedspin, they have made something minimal but fierce with their track “Mobbin.” The build channels the darkness of No Limit Records at its prime while the drop carries the bounce of a screwed and chopped new jack swing track. That, combined with the most menacing synth stab we’ve heard in a while, makes this tune unstoppable.

With “Give Me More,” Grandtheft lends us a soulful track that marries a delicious combination trap and dub in the same vein as his popular remix of Keys N Krates’ song “Treat Me Right” released off of Dim Mak. The juxtaposition of the drop is a total WTF moment for any club-goer and we mean that in the best way possible. Grandtheft’s momentum continues to pick up incredible speed with each release, and we don’t see his rise mellowing out anytime soon.

Faustix & Imanos - Echoes EP (JEFF058)

Faustix & Imanos have a niche for transferring vocals to new places and spaces and on their debut Jeffree’s EP titled Echoes, they’ve done just that. LIPS’ tune “Everything to Me” is a guilty pleasure you’d hear while shopping with your girlfriend but be too embarrassed to Shazam. The Faustix & Imanos remix lands it into a perfect space of female acid pop that we can’t seem to take off of repeat.

Next up, the duo work dark magic to bring you “Echoes feat. Data Romance,” an original tune where Data Romances’ haunting vocals meet a side-chained electrical surging bassline. Her simple yet deep voice somehow creates amazing contrast with the harder synths in the drop.

“Run Run Run The Trap” is a re-imagining of the Dragonette original “Run Run Run.” It reminds me of what La Roux’s music would sound like if she grew up in “The Bluff,” boasting dark pop 80′s pop with frantic hi-hats and 808 kicks.
